We're here! No problems!

I apologize for not posting for TWO days.  On Sunday my Fathers Day gift to Dave was to scrub the decks.  It was a beautiful day, so hitting myself with the hose spray wasn't really a hardship.  But man, a 35' boat is a lot of scrubbing.  I earned my happy hour for sure.  And by the time we sat down for the evening I just didn't have a post in me.

And yesterday our guest arrived.  She's traveling incognito, but you all know her as our lucky Irish charmer.  So there was no way I would take time away to post last night.

So today we got up and took our friend "Benny Prennnan" (just try to crack THAT code) to breakfast at Calico Cupboard.  Because you have to go there.  Then we took a drive to La Conner.  It's a very cute town built on the Swinomish Channel.  About 70% of the businesses in town are galleries.  But since we were there before 11 am, nobody was open. Artists don't wake early...

But when they wake they do cool stuff.
La Conner is a great stop when you come up this way.  Just go on a day when you can go inside the stores.

Meanwhile the three of us had been discussing a matter of grave consequence.
My hair.
It had taken over my life.
I felt like I was peeking out from a shrub.
So I made a change.
I had asked a cashier at Ace Hardware who had a great cut where she got her hair cut.  She told me and we stopped in there this morning.
Lo and behold they could take me right then!
Fifteen minutes later my load had been lightened significantly.
And then..."Benny" gave Dave & I a lesson in color
And the finished product.
Whew!
Thanks Benny!
So that earned us a Happy Hour!  It was time for Benny to experience The Brown!
Simon was ready to get in on the action as well so after a couple of appetizers we adjourned out to the Beer Garden and Si joined us.  We ordered him a cheeseburger
He was happy.  He's still digesting.
Think boa constrictor.

So now we're back in a sunny cockpit enjoying a lovely Anacortes evening.  We're all well and happy.
We have eagles overhead, fish swimming around the boat, music playing and GREAT company.
I'm gonna go!
