But going out in the dinghy is important. When we are anchored or moored off an island we have to go ashore in the dink several times a day to take Simon to the bathroom. Today was the "dry run". Meaning Si wasn't with us. We need to get our act together before we subject Simon to it. He may be the Doggi-Lama, but he expects certain levels of competency when it comes to his handling. So Dave & I have to do some practice drills to make sure things go smoothly when it's time to run the man ashore in the morning when we're anchored out. As you can see he wasn't overly confident in our initial attempts
"What the heck are they doing?"
"I can't watch."
"Now what are they doing??"
"I think maybe I should just jump now."
Despite Simon's opinions we worked some stuff out as far as the best way to get in and out with him. And Dave took me for a row around the marina.
Good lookin' pilot!
Yeah, he wanted to show me the pump-out island.
And then this boat started following us!
Like a stalker...
And it was really BIG!
Fortunately Dave's presence drove them away.
Well, until we rowed ever closer to them.
This is a private yacht that moors here in Cap Sante Marina.
Cool, huh?
Tonight we treated ourselves to a midweek happy hour at the Brown. And there were big doin's going on! It was a fund raiser for the Farmer's Market with live music and raffles. Fun!
So we are moving forward. And just so you can imagine what that might be like, here is a view of our boat's backside. Imagine it sailing away from you...
Here's wishing you all bright horizons!
